About us

I come from generations of hard-working family. Starting with the Snowden’s who were migrants from Arkansas. They arrived in Oakland due to WW1 where Mr. EG Snowden worked in the shipyards. Part of his task was working in the defense industry. However, once the war ended, he packed his belongings and family and moved to the small town of San Joaquin California but later relocated to the rural area of Mendota California. The Snowden’s had 14 children, one of them being my maternal grandmother Gussie. They made a name for themselves in Mendota California and were recognized in the agriculture industry. If interested in knowing more you can read their history in the book Mendota Life and Times of an emerging Latino Community 1891-2012 under “The Best-known Black family in Mendota”.

Ernest Shanklin was my maternal grandfather. He was born in Louisiana. He aspired a new life, and decided to join the Army. He became a mechanic with the United States Army and served in WW2. He eventually settled down in the city of San Joaquin California where he met my grandmother Gussie Snowden. They had 12 children one of which is my mother, Dorothy Shanklin. Ernest Shanklin was well known for being the first and only waste management personnel serving the cities of Tranquility, Mendota, and San Joaquin located in Fresno County area in the 1960s and 1970s.

Dorothy Shanklin, my mother has been an entrepreneur since a very young age. In her late 20s she opened a successful beauty salon specializing in hair replacement. She had a wide range of clientele from members of the community to super stars and tv personalities. She then went on to open children care facilities for at risk youth, with emphasis on mental health spectrum for 20+ years.

Robert P. Toledo, my father had a hard upbringing. He was born on the west side of Fresno where things were tough and poverty was fierce. He joined the Army and served 2 years in the Vietnam war. Once he returned to civilian life, he worked as a committed hardworking family man. He held a job with Fresno City College as a janitor where he later retired from.

My family history not only has a strong backbone, it also carries great characteristics which I have been fortunate to have inherited. My history is very important to me as it has shaped who I am today. I come from a family with hard working individuals who worked during difficult times which I value. When I work, I also give it my all no matter how challenging a job might be. I value integrity, because honesty is key. It starts by providing honest quotes, to coming across valuables such as a family gem that a customer may have over looked, and brining it to their attention to ensure it isn’t lost forever in a landfill. I take pride in my work and guarantee that all junk/trash being picked up will be legally dumped at a certified landfill and never on the side of the road. I hope that with my honesty, hard work and dedication to the junk removal business I can earn the trust of my Fresnans. I want to be the one they call to fight the junk crisis from one item pick ups to combating illegal dumping overspreading Fresno County. I want Fresno and Central Valley to know that they can count on Loyalty Landscape & Hauling Services, LLC to take care of the job. I aim to follow my family’s legacy and hold it close to my heart and standards. It is why my sayings hold value, “We’ll take care of you” or “Keeping Fresno clean one job at a time”. You can rest assure you can depend on Loyalty Landscape & Hauling Services, LLC.

Thank you,
